Manufacturing Lead

Our client is a leading manufacturer based in Kings Lynn, due to their continued growth and development they are seeking to employ a Manufacturing Lead to start as soon as possible.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly and dynamic company.

On-going contract – potentially leading to permanent for the ideal candidate

Starting salary - £12.50 per hour

Hours of work 8.30am to 5.00pm

Monday to Friday

37.5 hours per week

Reporting directly to the Operations and Procurement Manager

Purpose of the role:

This is a supervisory role overseeing the manufacture of grooming products and third-party tube filling to the highest quality standards as prescribed by ISO 9001.

Duties & Responsibilities include:

Supervision and leadership of 2 team members in the manufacturing area

Liaise with the wider team to ensure all manufacturing requirements are planned and fulfilled within the required timeframes.

Ensure that all equipment, within the production area is maintained to the highest standards of health and safety and hygiene.

Ensure that all records are accurate and completed in a timely fashion.

Participate in NPD, ensuring that all processes or manufacturing procedures are accurate and fully documented.

Review and update the QMS regularly to ensure compliance with all current legislation and quality standards.

Ensure all lab testing is fulfilled and complaint with the customers’ requirements.

All facilities must be maintained hygienically.

Adopt and instil a Health & Safety culture within the manufacturing area.

Key objectives for the role:

Satisfactorily passing the annual ISO 9001 audit

Managing all BOMS and product specifications to ensure that they are current and up to date.

100% completion of production records

QMS review

Annual Health & Safety review

Staff training in all aspects of their job role.

The ideal candidate must have:

Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.

Admin and computer skills.

Good organisational skills

Attention to detail
