Your Role

The Group Financial Accountant is a key role within the Elida Beauty Finance team. Reporting to the Group Controller you will be responsible for the design and implementation of the controls framework across the group together with external reporting for group entities and the consolidation of the group financial results. 

Joining Elida Beauty at its founding stage offers a unique experience to design and implement the Finance processes and controls of the future as we transition the business to operate as a standalone entity. In doing so you will have the opportunity to work with a network of advisors and craft the future of your own role and team to support and add value to the business.

Your Key Responsibilities

Separation Planning & Founding

  • Design and implementation of Standard Chart of Accounts within the Elida Beauty ERP design
  • Design and implementation of Control Framework and Accounting Policy Manual across the Elida Group
  • Design and implementation of Record to Report across the group
  • Design and implementation of group financial consolidation tool together with IT
  • Finalize completion accounts as part of separation process
  • Appointment and on-boarding of Auditors

Post Separation

  • Ongoing ownership of Standard Chart of Accounts, Control Framework and Accounting Policy Manual
  • Ownership of the Record to Report process working closely with Country Controllers to ensure a streamlined monthly reporting process
  • Monthly consolidation of group Financial result
  • Preparation and filing of annual accounts for group entities in compliance with accounting standards
  • Support the preparation of the group annual report
  • Maintaining the relationship Group Auditor 
  • Interpretation of new standards / legislation and ensuring readiness and actual application to the Unilever group, across all countries

Requirements

Must have:

  • Previous work experience in the Financial Controlling function and/or Audit function/Accounting Advisory Services
  • Experience of group level accounting and consolidation
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS
  • Proven ability to innovate and manage change
  • Proven ability to manage advisors effectively

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in FMCG industry
  • Systems experience of Oracle EBS
