TRS Staffing have a fantastic opportunity for a Coating Inspector.

The Role Reporting to Fabrication Engineer Undertakes daily audits of random coating stations, checking all aspects of the process including environmental conditions, paint mixing, DFTs, materials have correct traceability present etc Ensures coating inspections are done per specifications Attends inspections when notified by Contractor - Blasting, Visual inspection, DFT control checks etc. in accordance with the agreed ITP Reviews and verify coating records during the fabrication process Manages closure of coating aspects from punchlists prior to load out
Your Profile
NACE Level 2 or equivalent Extensive experience and good understanding of the manufacture and coating of offshore platforms or large fabricated structures. Significant practical experience working in a similar role. Experienced in dealing with Contractors/Sub-Contractors monitoring of Surface preparation and coating processes for compliance. Fluent written & verbal English preferable knowledge of local language IT literate in Microsoft Office Able to demonstrate a strong understanding of Project Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) Able to review manufacturing records and manufacturing drawings Understanding of manufacturing and fabrication standards ISO, EN, DNV and other industry norms Able to work with minimal supervision
This is a 12 month contract role based in Norway, you MUST have right to work in Europe already in place.
