The Role

This is a brand-new role for the 2024-25 academic year due to growth within the department. Within this role you will be pivotal to the success of the Health and Social Care provision the College delivers to 230 students from across the East Midlands. You’ll be joining a dedicated teaching team from recently qualified teachers to those with over 30 years’ experience and come from a variety of health and social care backgrounds. 

You’ll be working with learners ranging from 16 to 18 years old and adult learners on a variety of courses including BTECs (Level 1-3), T-Levels in Health, and Foundation Degrees (HTQ). Through the delivery of engaging teaching, learning and assessment, you will ensure they gain an in depth understanding of the health and social care industry through subjects such as;

  • Understanding care values
  • Effective communication in health and social care
  • Human lifespan development
  • Safe working practices
  • Anatomy and physiology

 About you

To succeed in this role, you’ll have excellent interpersonal skills, and be adept at time management and organisation to enable you to manage caseloads of work. You’ll hold a Level 3 or higher in Health and Social Care, and have experience of working within the sector, with a desire to pass on your knowledge to workforce of the future.

Not a qualified teacher?  No problem: you can start your teaching career with us Pass on your skills to our students and get trained in-house.

  • We will finance your in-house training while you work

  • You must be committed to obtaining the appropriate qualification within 2 years
