We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter to work within a manufacturing company at one of their leading automated factories. You will benefit from a friendly and loyal team of Engineers working in this fast faced environment. You will also benefit from having opportunities to learn new skills, receive further training and develop your career in this factory and company. Progress up through their grades that offers salary enhancements and more responsibilities

Responsibilities

Mechanical Maintenance Fitter, working 2 weeks of Days (6am to 6pm) then 2 weeks of Nights (6pm to 6am), on a continental shift pattern (working 7 out of every 14 days). Your role will include, although not limited to:

  • Planned Preventative Maintenance across a range of equipment and machinery.
  • Dealing with machinery breakdowns and problems, fault finding, diagnostics and repairs.
  • Assisting with planned shut-downs and project work, refurbishing machines and replacing worn parts.

Requirements

  • Completed a recognised Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship or hold Mechanical Engineering qualifications
  • Experience in a similar environment; Industrial, Production or Manufacturing environments - most considered
  • Maintenance experience; dealing with machinery and equipment problems and breakdowns and/or completing preventative maintenance of plant/industrial machinery
  • Any experience of SOME of the following; Belts, Chains, Gear Boxes, Pumps, Bearings, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Welding and Fabricating etc
  • Motivated and driven to succeed
  • Willing to take on and complete further training as part of your growth and development in the factory and company
