What you will be doing
You will join an inclusive and supportive team that works well together to provide care to people with Learning Disability and Autism conditions, using your knowledge and skills to help people along their recover pathway towards leading a valued and fulfilled life.
Your day-to-day will include ward rounds, analysing behaviours and adapting care accordingly with colleagues, updating patient records, and providing overall care and support, which may include assisting with personal hygiene.
It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance are important. But it is hugely rewarding to see people improve because of your involvement, knowing that you've made someone's life better.
shift patterns is 35hours a mixture of early's and Late's and working every other weekend Early - 7am - 2.30pm, late 2pm - 21.30 Long Day 7am - 21.30
Where you will be working:
Location:Gresham House, Station Road, Staplehurst, Kent, TN12 0PZ.
You will be working at Gresham House, a 12 bedded service which is part of our Learning Disability and Autism division, and provides a specialist residential service for men and women with a range of learning disabilities, including autism and sensory and communication impairments.
