European CFO

Investigo have been engaged in the appointment of an European CFO role working for a Global Technology Manufacturing business with revenues in excess of 20 Billion.
Leading a group of operating companies from a finance perspective including coordinating strategic business partnering, financial performance management and reporting. Ultimate responsibility for all aspects of finance for primary operating company and Partner to the European CEO.

For the Region:

  • Line management of Country Finance Directors, which consist of 8 Direct Reports, and a wider team of 50
  • Leads Finance people/ talent agenda
  • Shapes the regional financial strategy, prioritising areas of focus both regionally and for each
  • Works collaboratively with the group CEO, CFO, GFC and VP Shared Services to deliver high quality financial services to customers
  • Works with the regional FDs and CEOs to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, control and management
  • Works with Group CFO and GFC to implement finance policies in the region in a consistent way and evidence compliance
  • Participates in cross regional and group finance activities, reporting to the group CFO
  • Inputs to projects to improve and clarify group financial policy and process
  • Key Contact between Regional Operating Countries and Group


For the individual Operating Countries the CFO retains responsibility for leading strategic business partnering and financial performance management within the large/ financially complex Operating Country, including

Key Accountabilities

  • Represents the voice of the Operating Country from a financial perspective
  • Translates the commercial and financial implications of the business strategy for the Operating Country (including associated products, services and sectors)
  • Drives Operating Country commercial and financial performance focus
  • Leads Finance people/ talent agenda within the Operating Country
  • Identifies areas for continuous improvement within Operating Country Finance
  • Works collaboratively with the Operating Country leadership team (MD), CFO, GFC and Shared Services to deliver high quality financial services to our clients


Key Skills/ Experience

  • Strong relationship management
  • Significant experience as a CFO or FD in a global organisation that utilised Finance Shared Services
  • Chartered accountant or equivalent technical experience
  • Strategic perspective and customer service mind-set
  • International management experience leading international organizations
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Some overseas travel required
