Our client, a highly successful and reputable firm of chartered accountants, is looking for an Accounts Senior to join a supportive team, within a secure and stable environment.
What will a typical day look like?
- Full ownership of the monthly management accounting cycle for your clients
- Review the work of junior staff, and be willing to devote time to coach and develop them
- Work with the Technology Systems team to help design and implement innovative reports and dashboards for clients to access in real-time via smartphones and tablet
- Work closely with the Finance Operations team to ensure efficiency of the Purchase to Pay cycle and accurate recording of accruals and prepayments
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and audit requirements by maintaining robust controls
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, initiating ideas to develop processes and controls.
- Liaise with auditors during clients external audits.
- Analysis of KPI's & metrics as required by clients and company management
- Dealing with ad hoc queries from hotel clients on top of BAU work
Who are we looking for?
- Experience and skill set required for the role:
- Minimum of 2 years relevant practical work experience
- Proactive self-starter with ability to problem solve
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High level of Excel skills would be very advantageous
- The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Organising and prioritising work to meet reporting deadlines
- Experience of Navision or other ERP systems highly desirable
