Position: Teacher of Geography

Dunbar Education is proud to be recruiting for a Teacher of Geography on behalf of a thriving and dynamic 11-18 mixed community school in Buckingham. Key Responsibilities:

Teach Geography across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.Develop and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that inspire a love of Geography.Assess, track, and provide feedback on student progress.Contribute to the development of the Geography curriculum.Participate in departmental and whole school CPD.Engage with parents, carers, and the wider community to support student learning.

Opportunity for Leadership:

For the right candidate, there is also potential to take on a Teaching and Learning Responsibility (TLR) as Head of Year. This role involves additional leadership responsibilities, including pastoral care and supporting the academic progress of a specific year group.

Person Specification:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.Degree in Geography or a related subject.Ability to teach Geography at KS3 to KS5 - applications from ECTs or more experienced colleagues are both warmly welcomed.Passionate about teaching and inspiring young people.Strong classroom management skills.Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.Excellent communication and organisational skills.Commitment to continuous professional development.
