Take responsibility for creating cutting-edge software for our hardware and be involved in the entire lifecycle of a product, from design and development to integration. Work closely with both Electronic and Systems engineers, you’ll enable the development of complex real-world systems that have to perform perfectly every time, as the consequences of failure could be catastrophic.
Your work will be expected to make a real contribution to addressing the engineering issues on a Naval Ship, Aircraft Carrier, or Patrol Vessel and will likely encompass requirements evaluation and problem-solving, engineering deliverable presentation, engineering data information, meeting and briefing notes, report writing, presentation preparation, cost, schedule, and risk analysis. Duties and Responsibilities
Production of software architectures and designs based on each ship’s requirements. Implementation of requirements and design utilizing a variety of programming languages and tools. Design and development of software tests to prove a number of qualities including functionality, robustness, and performance. Testing and integration of software and target hardware. Support of lifecycle and product maturity activities such as design reviews. SkillsAs a minimum requirement you’ll need to have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2.2 in your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computing or Software Engineering.
