A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A RECEPTIONIST THE MERCURE  AND IBIS STYLES PAIGNTON

What you'll be doing...

Reporting to the Front office manager and supervisors, you can expect your working day to include the following. 

This is a hands-on role, and the successful applicant must be able to answer guest enquiries in a timely and courteous manner, use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities, and demonstrate knowledge of hotel products, services, pricing, and policies, as well as knowledge of the local area. Supporting in delivering memorable guest experiences and the warmest of welcomes Being the first point of contact for our guest, building great relationships and resolving any issues that may arise throughout their stay Check In/Check Out Processing all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

Experience in a similar role within a hotel environment. Pleasant, positive, welcoming and guest-focused demeanour with a can-do attitude. Excellent interpersonal skills. Flexible & adaptable to different working conditions & hours.  Forward thinking & promotes new ideas.  Oral & written fluency in English. Additional language will be considered a plus. Be motivated & a self-starter.  Knowledge of Opera PMS desirable. Effective training skills & interpersonal capabilities. Must be able to complete various shifts which include 06.45 - 15.15 or 0900-1800 or 1430 - 2300
