An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Emergency Medicine Team at Wythenshawe Hospital, Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking to appoint Senior Clinical Fellows (middle grade doctors) to complement our team.

The Hospital is part of MFT, one of the largest Trusts in the region which includes, Trafford General Hospital, MRI, The Manchester Royal Eye Hospital and Royal Manchester Children's Hospital. It is the regional centre for Burns and Plastics, adult cystic fibrosis, heart and lung transplant and is a centre for ECMO CPR. It is also a teaching hospital for medical students from Manchester University.

Main duties of the job

Due to the short-term nature of the role, the successful candidate must hold a current registration with the GMC at the time of application, whether it be an active licence, ceased licence or a pending application -MFT cannot support GMC Sponsorship for vacancies less than 12 months fixed term. Candidates who do not fit this criteria will not progress through to the shortlisting stage.

Please note: MFT is not a right to work sponsoring organisation for Tier 5. Should a candidate require Tier 5 sponsorship, they must apply through the Academy of Royal College via the MTI Scheme.

This job is initially offered for a six-month period after which it will be reviewed with the opportunity to extend based on satisfactory performance. Though it is not a deanery approved training post, successful candidates will share the same rota as other trainees.

The post holders will be expected to provide exceptional patient care whilst benefitting from an bespoke training programme and quality improvement activities.
