Contentious & non-contentious Construction lawyer NQ â 1 year PQE BRISTOL

Well-regarded regional law firm in Bristol is looking to recruit a Construction lawyer of 0 to 1 yearsâ PQE to undertake a mix of contentious and non-contentious matters. The team advises regional, national and international clients on a wide range of issues across the supply chain providing advice at all stages from the outset of a project through to procurement and beyond. Clients include owners and occupiers, developers, main contractors, project managers, members of the professional design team, funders and public sector authorities, at both local and central government level. The team has significant experience in construction dispute resolution (including pre-action, litigation, arbitration, adjudication and settlement discussions, including mediation) and the contentious workload will typically include both employer and contractor-side cases, whether in adjudication, Pre-Action Protocol, TCC or arbitration proceedings. Specific responsibilities will include: ⢠preparing advice ⢠drafting correspondence to third parties ⢠working on instructions to Counsel and Experts ⢠marshalling evidence (including disclosure, bundles) ⢠dealing with Court applications.
On the transactional side, the practice complements the work of the Firmâs Commercial Development and Projects teams, particularly in relation to its developer and public sector clients, advising on the complexities of £multi-million, multi-stakeholder procurement on prestigious regional and national projects. Specific responsibilities will include: ⢠attending meetings, site visits and hearings with clients, experts and Counsel ⢠drafting and negotiating professional appointments, building contracts and ancillary documents ⢠working with our corporate, transactional real estate and projects teams on cross-practice projects.
Your files will relate to high value and often high profile regional and national developments across a broad range of sectors including health, education, commercial, infrastructure, agriculture and renewables.
