In this role, you'll need effective analytical and communication skills to convey complex information to a diverse audience. Your work will directly contribute to the implementation of processes needed to monitor and analyse market evidence, handle large data sets, and issue new information requests to third parties.
As part of the Market Intelligence team within the Retail Directorate, you'll collaborate closely with the Consumer Intelligence team to establish a sound evidence base for policy making. You'll support the external publication of retail market competition and consumer intelligence indicators and contribute to internal updates and insights for senior managers and colleagues across Ofgem.
Your responsibilities will include producing written deliverables such as reports and briefings, cooperating on unplanned data requests, and providing analytical input for monitoring and policy purposes. You'll engage with suppliers and industry stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate data provision, and share actionable insights with senior managers, policy, and compliance colleagues. Additionally, you'll engage with other government departments and consumer bodies on the state of the retail energy market and customer protection developments.

Key Responsibilities and Outputs
