Hitchin Girls’ School is a high performing school, graded Outstanding by Ofsted, where we provide an exceptional experience for all of our students. We have high level provision for teaching and learning and provide the greatest level of care and support for all students and our staff. Situated in the picturesque and historic market town of Hitchin, it is conveniently located in the beautiful countryside just 25 minutes from London by train and with easy access to motorways and airports. 

We are seeking a talented and passionate individual to join our team as a Teacher of Business from September 2024. You will either be an experienced practitioner with excellent pedagogical knowledge and communication skills or have the potential to develop into such a practitioner. The ability to teach Business Studies  at all key stages is essential; the ability to teach Edexcel Specification (or willingness to learn) would be an advantage. The ability to teach a second subject would be desirable.

The Business Department at Hitchin Girls’ School is a very special place to teach. We offer GCSE Business and A Level Business which are both popular with students and have strong numbers each year. We also offer a range  of different trips, including an international trip  to New York and a trip to the museum of brands. Throughout the year we offer many enterprise activities  and invite guest speakers from industry to give talks to our students.
