Location: Great Cornard, Sudbury

We are looking for a full time, Level 3 qualified Room Leader to join our Bright Horizons Great Cornard on a fixed term contract for 12 months.

Bright Horizons Great Cornard is Ofsted rated 'Good' and purpose built with onsite parking available. The Nursery is spacious and light with a large outdoor area. The Nursery is situated in Great Cornard offering good transport links from the surrounding areas.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead, mentor and inspire a team to deliver exceptional care and education
  • Ensure the learning environment provides consistent stimulation and engaging activities for the children, across both the indoor and outdoor areas
  • Deliver and plan rich learning opportunities and exceptional care, to help all children to develop and meet their individual milestones
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, parents and/or carers, as well as other professionals, to meet the individual needs of each child
  • Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding
  • Work with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy and safe environment

What we’re looking for

  • Full and Relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification (essential)
  • Previous experience working within an Early Years setting - ideally as a Room Leader, Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator or similar
  • Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
  • Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents
  • Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
