About the role

Do you want to be part of a family team who are committed to working together to deliver opportunities for all no matter what background?

Liaise with staff and other relevant professionals and provide information about pupils as appropriate.Plan, Prepare and deliver specified learning activities to individuals, small groups and/or classes modifying and adapting activities as necessary under the direction and supervision of a teacher.Develop independence in our SEN students using metacognitive strategies to help them become self-regulated learnersTake small group intervention sessions.Provide pastoral care to pupils, supporting pupils in social and emotional well-being, reporting problems to the teacher as appropriate.

Who we are looking for

We require, an enthusiastic and highly committed person who will be an excellent teaching assistant. The successful candidate will: 

Have English and maths GCSE equivalent at C+ or 4+ equivalent.Have excellent organisation skills.Be able to relate well to children and adults.Be self-motivated, be able to work independently as well as working as part of a team.Understand classroom roles and responsibilities.Be able to work to policies and procedures.Be able to support staff and students on aspects of the curriculum.Be able to contribute to SEN team meetings and provision for students with SEN needs across the full ability range.Have a commitment to inclusion.Help foster a culture of high expectations and achievement within the department.Have a commitment to the school’s ethos and vision.Be able to establish strong relationships with students and staff.Model professional standards across all areas of work.
