Project Buyer

Due to expansion and continued business growth,  Hitachi Energy are hiring a Project Buyer as a right-hand person to our Procurement & Logistics Manager. This hybrid role is with our High Voltage Service Business Unit in Stone, Staffordshire. Do you have a background in procurement and supply chain management, combined with exceptional communication skills? If so we want to hear from you.

You’ll be liaising with Hitachi Energy customers and suppliers to obtain a wide variety of goods and services.  Take control of our end-to-end order process:  from product/service sourcing to order completion and invoicing. About the role

• Essentially a right-hand role to our Procurement & Logistics Manager
• Managing the order processing life cycle from start to completion
• Supply chain management and extensive contact with suppliers and customers
• Inventory management
• Managing invoice procedure from initiation through to payment
• Controlling of purchasing for a wide variety of products and services
• Operating to Hitachi Energy standard processes and procedures with a high attention to detail
• Multi-tasking working to tight deadlines whilst prioritizing and planning ahead.

Your background:

• Purchasing experience and SAP knowledge preferable (or similar e-procurement systems)
• Familiar with invoice procedures and supply chain management.
• Useful to have an understanding of logistics/inventory management.
• Able to liaise with people at all levels both internally and externally.
• A willingness to learn and develop your knowledge and expertise
• Logical thinker with a high attention to detail
• Able to operate with personal accountability and as an effective team player
• Proactive and able to work on own initiative under pressure
