Housing Paralegal

Rate: £20 - £25 per hour (Interim / Locum)

Location: Buckinghamshire

Working: Hybrid (2 days per week on-site)

About the Housing Paralegal Role:

Sellick Partnership are proud to be working with an exceptional legal services team in the heart of the South East. We are looking for a housing paralegal to join a small legal team on behalf of a housing association.

A housing Paralegal is required to join a local authority based in the Home Counties for a period of 3 months initially with the view to extend the contract further.

Key Responsibilities of the Housing Paralegal role:

  • Manage a caseload of Civil Access injunctions
  • Assist the Department in the day-to-day running of general housing management legal files
  • Draft and prepare claim forms, pleadings, and witness statements for the County Court
  • Taking the client's proof(s) of evidence, including expert witnesses
  • Drafting general correspondence and documents
  • Undertake legal research and preparation of disclosure
  • Provide administrative support including file maintenance; electronic and paper filing, printing, sorting and filing emails, invoicing
  • Prepare Court & Trial bundles
  • Conduct advocacy and Liaising with the County Court on routine matters
  • Assist with enquiries made by internal, external clients and third parties such as Counsel, witnesses, and representatives

The role will be a hybrid working arrangement and you will have the opportunity to work from an office twice per week in Buckinghamshire.
