Job Description
An opportunity has arisen within NRS Capability for a Technical Records Officer. This is a fixed term post to 30 June 2027. The purpose of the post is to be the focal point and provide ownership, control and tracking of documentation (physical and electronic) pertinent to the Saltus Programme and future operation of the site, including appropriate receipt, storage, distribution and acknowledgement of documents.

Main Responsibilities
Keep all data secure and control transmission through defined arrangements
Manage the document control process for the Saltus Programme as necessary
Provide collation, coordination and verification of documentation to meet delivery requirements
Manage and contribute to the development and testing of storage/tracking/reporting systems
Input, maintain and retrieve data from electronic database/system
Make decisions on behalf of managers within delegated authority (e.g. diary management, meeting attendance, re-direction of actions)
Carry out compliance and quality checks on new on documents and their retention
Monitor and assist with implementation of corrective actions
Provide system administration support, include taking minutes/notes of meetings, for the Programme Manager and direct reports
Provide general administration function including purchasing, typing, filing, photocopying, scanning, arranging meetings, distribution of documents, answering telephone queries, archiving
Perform the responsibilities of Management Appointments relevant to post

Aptitudes, qualifications and experience
HNC in Science/Engineering/Business or equivalent qualification plus experience
SC and the ability to be read in on Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (NNPPI)
An outgoing and positive approach
Ability to interact with personnel at various levels
Self-motivated, who can also work as part of a team
Innovative to support positive, remembered and delivered message outcomes
Comfortable interacting with and presenting information to a broad spectrum of personnel in different grades
