We are seeking a proactive and experienced SHEQ and Facilities Manager to join our team. This vital role is responsible for ensuring the highest standards in Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ), while also managing and maintaining our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) Management:

    • Develop, implement, and maintain SHEQ policies and procedures in line with legal requirements and industry best practices.
    • Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance.
    • Lead investigations into incidents and non-conformities, ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively.
    • Deliver SHEQ training and support to staff, fostering a strong culture of safety and quality across the organisation.
    • Maintain ISO9001 and 45001 certification and work towards achieving ISO14001 accreditations.
  • Facilities Management:

    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of our facilities, ensuring they are safe, clean, and well-maintained.
    • Manage building maintenance, including HVAC systems, electrical, plumbing, and general upkeep.
    • Liaise with external contractors and suppliers for facility-related services, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant building regulations, standards, and legal requirements.
  • Emergency Preparedness:

    • Maintain emergency response plans, including fire safety procedures and first aid provision.
    • Conduct regular drills and training sessions to ensure readiness.
  • Sustainability and Environmental Initiatives:

    • Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
    • Lead sustainability projects and promote green practices within the organisation.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in a similar SHEQ and Facilities management role.
  • Strong knowledge of SHEQ regulations and best practices.
  • Experience in managing facilities, including building and equioment maintenance and contractor management.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • NVQ Level 6 or higher (preferred).
  • IOSH and NEBOSH Certification.
  • Strong IT skills, with the ability to manage documentation and reporting systems efficiently.
  • Punctual and reliable
