Hexcel is currently seeking an Industrial Placement Student for our Global Quality team to start a year-long industrial placement position in 2024 located in Duxford, UK. This placement will give an engineering student the chance to be a part of a global corporate team that is at the heart of Hexcel operations.

The Global Quality team is concerned with the overall quality management system for the organization, reviewing and directing longer-term strategies. This opportunity will have you working on many different types of projects. You will gain working knowledge of the management of data, gain an understanding of the manufacturing industry and understand how your discipline fits into the quality processes of a manufacturing company.

Some of the activities you may be engaged in include:

Support a new document management system across Hexcel

Revamp the Global Quality Internal Audit Sharepoint site and templates

Update various global procedures

Clean and verify data, build code to automate/digitize processes and systems

Data analysis using descriptive statistics

Support the drive to digital transfer of data removing the need for paper

Qualifications:

Working towards a qualification in Engineering, Computer Science or Mathematics degree

Students must have finished their second year of university studies

Strong English verbal and written communication skills
