Please note that applicants should have the right to work in the United Kingdom to apply for this role.Purpose of Role:Support the origination and execution of renewable energy and green hydrogen/ammonia projects in South Africa, Africa and Europe.Develop and maintain relationships with industry players based in London and Europe including project developers, infrastructure investment funds and developmental finance institutions.Key objectives:Grow the Nedbank renewable energy opportunity set in Africa and Europe.Leverage relationships with European stakeholders to drive deal flow.Support the continued best-in-class project implementation for our clients.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Support origination of financing opportunities including client engagements, proposal development (including composition of terms sheets and client pitches), supporting credit processesSupport implementation of financings including client commercial negotiations, legal negotiationsDevelop and maintain relationships with UK and European based infrastructure investment funds and developmental finance institutionsMaximise returns across the Bank by cross selling the banks product capabilities to clients or potential clients Key Technical skills, qualificationsRequirementRelevant experience in structuring and implementing Project Finance with specific experience in renewable energy projectsRequirementRelationships with infrastructure focussed investors and DFI’sRequirementExperience with South African and African renewable energy sectorRequirementGood understanding of standard banking practices in the London banking market.RequirementRelevant qualification at degree levelIdealExperience European energy sectorKey Behavioural skills and attributesFocusRelationship builder, with the ability to cross sell banks products.Ability to work under pressureDelivery focusStrategic and commercial
