The Senior Employment Counsel will be responsible for taking on lead role in providing high-quality legal advice on a full range of employment matters.

This role will report to the Deputy General Counsel but will take full ownership of the relationship between Legal and HR, ensuring all work force issues & queries are supported.

Description

The role of the Lead Employment Counsel will include the following responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the whole spectrum of workforce issues, including but not limited to advisory work, ET case management, transactional advice.
  • Working with key stakeholders including our HR department and external employment advisers.
  • Ensuring the provision of timely and effective legal advice to the Group and senior management.
  • Manage and mitigate legal risks related to employment issues.
  • Advise on dispute resolution and manage employment litigation cases.
  • Conduct training sessions for HR and management on legal matters.
  • Represent the legal department in cross-functional projects.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in healthcare law and regulations.

Profile

Suitable candidates for the Lead Employment Counsel would have the following qualifications and experience:

  • A qualified solicitor in the UK or relevant jurisdiction
  • Significant experience in handling employment-related legal issues.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and regulations.
  • Experience working in the healthcare industry is desirable.
