An exciting opportunity to join Maiden Erlegh Chiltern Edge as a second in department within Science. The full time vacancy comes with a 1 year temporary TLR2a (£3,214) allowance to be a second in department. 

This role will involve working closely with our Director of Secondary Science and is key to provide support with:

  • Designing an engaging and challenging curriculum that enables all students to achieve at the highest level.
  • Ensuring all policies are followed within the department, e.g. marking and homework policy
  • Modelling exemplary practice in terms of managing difficult behaviour from students, and establish a culture of high expectations and mutual respect between staff and students in the department
  • Supporting with monitoring the quality of teaching and learning and planning within your department. 
  • Supporting with implementing the long-term vision of the department.
