You'll be working for one of the leading Building Services Design and Build contractors in the South. This contractor has a reputation for delivering high quality work across a range of sectors within the construction industry
Your new role

Ensuring that projects provide well-engineered, innovative and cost-effective solutions for the clientEnsure that your projects comply with relevant specifications and technical requirementsProvide technical support to both customers and colleagues. Whilst also willing to support and coach junior members of the team.To work closely with internal and external stakeholders to devise technically astute and commercially viable applications for productsVisit clients or attend sites, as necessary, to expedite projects and to maintain key relationshipsResponsible for assisting in all aspects of design from site surveys of existing assets, optioneering, feasibility studies, detailed design and tender pricingProject managing third party designs and providing design assistance to installation and commissioning teamsLiaising with clients and subcontractorsProduce design specifications and interface specifications based on customer requirementsProvide robust and sustainable conceptual and detail designs to satisfy the customer's requirementsPrepare design support documentation, conducting design calculations and maintaining concise engineering recordsWhat you'll need to succeed
Excellent communication skills, both verbally and through digital platformsA degree or HNC/HND in a relevant construction or design field would be beneficial but not essentialBackground in building services with a Electrical bias is essentialExperience in building services design working for contractors or consultants in a wide range of sectorsExperience in developing designs from RIBA stage 2 through to constructionKnowledge of current CDM and Building RegulationsCompetent in MS officeSelf-motivated and the ability to work with minimum supervisionPositive/can do attitudeThe ability to provide sound and innovative solutions to Electrical problemsPrevious knowledge of Amtec Pro-Design, Relux, and Dialux would be beneficial but not essentialWhat you'll get in return
