We rely on our Management Accountants for the preparation, development and improvement of financial and management reporting across the business. Working in one of our Central Support functions, you’ll be part of a team where everyone is putting the effort in to offer brilliant service and to get the job done.

Here’s a quick overview of some of the things you can expect to do as a Management Accountant with Huws Gray:
Assist in the preparation of the monthly management accounts for the business down to division and branch level within tight deadlines Allocation of costs across multiple divisions and branches to ensure accurate cost centre income/charges Maintain rigorous and robust balance sheet control reconciliations Preparation and processing of monthly journals (inc prepayments, accruals, stock and margin) Supporting the wider Finance team and the operations of the business - collaborating to ensure that financial information is accurate and complete Maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounts records and spreadsheets Assist with financial queries from both within and outside the finance team Complete variance analysis on financial performance of costs against budget, prior year etc and provide regular updates to management Identify and recommend areas for continuous development Ownership of overhead costs including monthly meetings with budget holders to review the charges for completeness and accuracy Other duties as required
