Salary: £53,928 (Fixed Term Contract- 24 Months)
What you'll be doing:
- Development and implementation of effective category strategies in collaboration with other functions and the wider business network
- Developing effective strategic relationships with relevant suppliers within the category
- Identifying, reporting and mitigating category and supplier risks
- Leading supplier approval and on boarding processes in collaboration with the Supplier Quality team and other functional support areas as required
- Working collaboratively and effectively with the extended project team (engineering, programme management, finance, business development, supplier development)
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Able to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, exercising appropriate levels of courtesy, diplomacy and tact, in line with the business code of conduct
- Able to discuss details involving Procurement information (Quality, Cost Delivery) information, with some level of technical expertise (i.e. manufacturing processes within suppliers)
- Experience working within category management, developing a category strategy and strategic sourcing
Desirable:
- The individual must demonstrate dedication, commitment and discipline to ensure successful delivery of key objectives
- Proficient leadership skills to engage, motivate and influence individuals or teams to succeed
- Experience working within a highly regulated environment
