Territory Manager

Our client is an established leading supplier of packaging machinery, consumables and printed labels to the fresh produce and food processing industries. Their expanding customer base includes all major supermarkets, global food manufacturers and a wide range of food service, industrial and fresh produce companies.Development of the business has uncovered a need for a Territory Manager to commit to building a strong customer base of growers, importers and packers from Kent to Cornwall. Responsible for prospecting and selling new business within this region, you will establish and maintain client relationships at a high and professional level. This client firmly believes in providing clients with custom-tailored and dedicated services instead of a “one-size-fits-all” will be expected to:Act as a point of contact for existing and potential customers from Kent to CornwallIdentify local business opportunities and challengesReport on regional sales results (weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually)Present products and services to prospective clientsIdentify customer needs and recommend product solutionsAnswer customer questions about products and servicesCross-sell products, when appropriateCollaborate with sales representatives from different territories to share best practices and support a cohesive sales approachThis role requires someone with a robust knowledge of all packaging consumable products provided by our client as well as articulating and advising prospective clients on how best to utilise the product art of selling will be second nature to you, and you will have characteristics of both a hunter and a farmer. 60% of this role will be dedicated to account management, and the rest of your efforts will focus on developing business.
