Job Description
The Associate will join a top ranked Financial Services Regulatory Practice and will work directly with Partners advising banking and financial services institutions on a wide range of bank regulatory matters.
The Successful Applicant
JD from top US law schoolExcellent academic credentialsNY State Bar4-6 years of experience with bank regulatory and financial services regulatory matters gained at a top law firm, at a regulator (FINRA, FDIC, NYDFS) or in-house at a bank or financial institution.Must have experience with bank, trust company, and other insured depository institution regulatory matters, the Bank Holding Company Act, National Bank Act, Federal Deposit Insurance Act, International Banking Act, and other federal banking laws.Must have experience in counseling top tier banking organizations on bank regulatory matters, such as prudential bank regulation, control and permissibility issues, the Volcker Rule, OCC Part 9 and similar fiduciary operations, compliance policies and procedures, change in control and other regulatory filings, regulatory capital and liquidity requirements, regulatory examinations and enforcement defense supervisory actions, and the development of new financial products and services.Successful candidates will have excellent writing skills, strong analytical skills, and a willingness to positively contribute to a collaborative work environment.
