Vitae Financial Recruitment is proud to be exclusively partnering with a high-growth, private equity backed group, looking to hire a credible and impressive Head of Finance to be a critical member of its leadership team, reporting to the CEO. Candidates must have had previous responsibility for European regions (ideally the Nordics) and be familiar learning local compliance.

In this rare opportunity, you'll be responsible for setting up and overseeing the finance function to support effective business operations that will be active across 3 countries (UK and Nordics). Candidates should, therefore, have experience of operating in a European setting. You'll play a pivotal role in establishing financial infrastructure, processes and governance that will drive the success and profitability of the business.

Initially this is a very hands-on role, being the first and sole member of the Finance team. You will, however, have the opportunity to build out the finance function in future and have initial support from a third-party accounting resource, before identifying what should be brought in-house.

Key duties include:
* Developing and implementing financial systems, policies and procedures to support the operation, including setting up entities, banking, financial reporting, controls and systems
* Lead financial planning and analysis to guide strategic decision making
* Managing capital allocation and ensure efficient movement of funds
* Ensure compliance with local regulations and financial reporting requirements in each of the 3 countries
* Working closely with CEO and other Departments to support overall business strategy, providing leadership and act as key advisor
* Driving financial planning to support the expansion into new locations and markets
* Building and leading a high performing finance function

Key skills & experience required:
* Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent
* Proven experience in a senior finance role, within hospitality/multi-site/retail/leisure
* Strong knowledge of financial infrastructure, processes and governance
* Experience of setting up new processes and systems
* Previous experience understanding local financial regulations in other European territories (ideally Nordics)
* Highly entrepreneurial with a self-starter attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
* Solution-orientated with strong ability to navigate challenges and deliver results
* Growth mind-set
