Teacher of Mathematics

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented Teacher of Mathematics; this is a fantastic opportunity for a committed and inspiring teacher to be part of a highly successful team which consistently delivers high achievement for all students. The ability to teach Computer Science would be an advantage.

St Gabriel’s is an independent day school founded in 1929 which incorporates Sandleford, our EYFS provision; at present there are approximately 500 pupils in the School. Sandleford Priory dates back to the early Middle Ages and is set in a beautiful Grade 1 listed building within 33 acres of Capability Brown parkland, which provides a gracious setting in which to work. The school was rated "Excellent" at the last ISI Inspection in 2019.

We seek to appoint an experienced and passionate teacher to join our highly motivated and dedicated teaching team. Candidates should be able to deliver good quality lessons ensuring student motivation and progression. Applicants for this post should be able to demonstrate high levels of expertise and evidence of raising student attainment and achievement, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and outstanding subject knowledge. 

Our excellent examination results speak for themselves. At A Level, we saw 42% of grades at A*/A with 71% of entries achieving an A*-B grade, with our pupils going on to study a wide range of subjects at top universities. At GCSE, 37% of grades were at 7-9 and 22% of these were at grade 8 or 9.
