Care Assistant: Basic Duties to be undertaken

An experienced carer is required to support a man with his care needs, living in the Culloden area of Inverness. This post will include weekend work, day and/or night shifts.

Care Assistant: Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Build a supportive & responsive relationship to this gentleman s care needs
Assist with washing, dressing, continence care and hoisting
Meal Preparation
Use of a ceiling hoist whilst being mindful of moving & handling techniques at all times
Work with an agreed care plan and under the direction of the supported person
Awareness of Health & Safety Legislation with regards to caring for someone in their own home
Promote healthier well-being by assisting with rehabilitation programs

Care Assistant: Personal Attributes
Experience in hoisting
Caring & Sensitive Personality
Outgoing with a good sense of humour
Flexible & Adaptable with the ability to manage a range of support tasks
Honest, Reliable and Trustworthy
Ability to work unsupervised

Hours of Work

Hours: up to 48 hours, shifts can be combined to allow for 24 hour care
