What you'll be doing:

  • Leading research and technology development for future submarine capability
  • Looking at research and development needs and areas of improvement
  • Liaising with stakeholders and different research establishments, including universities

Your skills and experiences:

Essential

  • Naval architecture qualification
  • Chartership
  • Background in Technology development or research
  • Experience of submarines

Desirable

  • Proven track record of product development
  • Experience of submarines

The Naval Architecture team:

As a Technologist within Naval Architecture, you will be an important member in one of the fastest growing Naval Architecture Departments in the company. You will be taking ownership for research and technology development for future submarine capability.

This exiting role will provide you with the chance to work on submarines at all stages of the product life cycle. You will gain exposure to an extensive range of stakeholder groups and industrial partners, and will be given opportunity for career development. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
