Company Overview: Our client is a small and growing accounting practice located in Norwich. The specialises in providing comprehensive accounting, tax, and advisory services to a diverse clientele ranging from individuals to small and medium-sized businesses across various industries. Position Overview: They are seeking a motivated and ambitious Accountant to join the team. The ideal candidate will be part-qualified or fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) with experience working in a practice environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth and advancement within the Firm.
Responsibilities:
Prepare year-end financial statements, management accounts, and tax returns for clients in accordance with tax regulations.Assist in the preparation of VAT returns and provide advice on VAT-related matters.Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to clients to improve their financial performance.Liaise with clients to gather necessary information and ensure compliance with filing deadlines.Keep up-to-date with changes in accounting standards, tax legislation, and industry trends.Collaborate with colleagues to resolve complex accounting and tax issues.Assist in the training and development of junior staff members.
Qualifications:
Part-qualified or fully qualified ACA, ACCA, or equivalent.Previous experience working in a practice environment is highly desirable.Strong knowledge of UK and tax regulations.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage.
