Wintel Support Engineer - Std Day/Evening Shift Rota - 12 month Contract - Hybrid 50/Hr (inside IR35) - Luton

Wintel Support Engineer required with extensive experience across patching and vulnerability management. This is a hybrid role requiring you to be on site in Luton 3 days per week as such you will need to be within a commutable location, you will be working on a shift basis covering a rota across 9 - 5pm and 3pm - 11pm. This role does fall within IR35 there fore you will be required to work through an umbrella company, successful candidates will be required to undertake DBS Checks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactive Patching: Ensure all Wintel services are secure and up-to-date.

  • Vulnerability Management: Tackle vulnerabilities head-on and keep our systems compliant.

  • Daily System Checks: Monitor, report, and resolve issues swiftly.

  • Collaborative Problem Solving: Work with global teams and third-party support for seamless operations.

  • Standards & Compliance: Maintain PCI DSS compliance and internal ITIL standards.

What We're Looking For:

  • Expertise in Patch Management: Strong experience with SCCM, Ivanti Patch, and Windows Server environments.

  • Vulnerability Remediation: Proven track record in managing and resolving system vulnerabilities.

  • Virtualization Skills: Hands-on experience with VMware and related technologies.

  • Networking Knowledge: Solid understanding of IPv4/6, DNS, DHCP, and network security.

  • Excellent Communication: Ability to articulate technical details to all organizational levels.

Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Certifications (SCCM, MCP, MCSE, etc.) are a plus.

  • Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related fields is desirable.
