We are working with a reputable Local Authority in the Essex Region looking for a Litigation and Housing Locum Lawyer to join their department for an initial 3-month period.

 

The successful candidate must be UK qualified and have upwards of 12 months’ experience in dealing with the following:

  • Housing matters including issues such as Possession, Disrepair, Homelessness, Debt Recovery, Unlawful Evictions, ASB Injunctions
  • Landlord and tenant law
  • Property Litigation
  • Judicial Reviews
  • Prosecution knowledge across various matters
  • Variety of Civil Disputes such as debt disputes on behalf of the Council

 

You will need to have experience of handling your own legal caseload. Previous litigation and housing legal experience in a local authority is essential.

 

Pay rate is between £45-55 per hour.

 

The local authority is looking for a candidate to start as soon as possible. Due to the urgent nature of the role, we are looking to speak to candidates available on no more than 2 weeks’ notice.
