Position Summary

We are currently recruiting for a Medical Affairs Dietitian to manage our adult enteral nutrition, dysphagia platform and regulatory projects such as reimbursement dossiers for the medical nutrition business for Nestle Health Science. Ensuring that our products are supported before, during and after launch. Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders such as global colleagues, KOLs in the UK and some global colleagues, patient associations, conference planning and supporting focus groups and advisory boards. You will also work closely with the marketing and regulatory team approving HCP, carer and parent facing materials, support clinical trials such as reimbursement studies and Real-World Evidence (RWE).

You will be expected to represent the company at external meetings with stakeholders such as trade associations and liaise with relevant external bodies e,g British Dietetic Association, enteral nutrition and and dysphagia study days.

The job is very varied and will require travel across and UK and Europe. The role will suit someone who is flexible and willing to travel.

A day in the life of a Medical Affairs Dietitian

You’ll play a pivotal role in bringing our products to the market and supporting the marketing teams on exciting product launches while ensuring all our products have strong clinical evidence. You’ll strive to deliver towards Nestlé's overall progress in nutrition, health and wellness (NHW) priorities.

You’ll also:

• Keep abreast of local and international guidelines/ position statements knowledge and share with marketing various functions.

• Propose Implement & validate action plans with marketing for focus groups and advisory boards on gathering information on latest trends and insights in the enteral nutrition and dysphagia space.

• Provide a high standard medical plan to relevant departments in Nestle Health Science (NHSc) business in support of business objectives e.g supporting cycle plans and sales team knowledge training.

• Contribute as key member to local Innovation & Renovation projects. Be assigned to be a collaborator and/or leader in New Product Development innovation within enteral nutrition and dysphagia platforms.

• Proactively help support the marketing and sales materials drawing on relevant dietetic expertise and experience. Responsible for providing medical approval to projects as required.

• Be able to travel for meetings across the UK and attendance to international conferences and internal Medical Affairs meetings with wider colleagues.

• Support the team with creation of reimbursement dossiers for new products and submission to the relevant assessment body.

• Balance both medical and regulatory caseload projects.

What will make you successful?

To be successful in this role you will have knowledge in adult enteral nutrition from a dietetic management prospective and or a good idea of dysphagia management through past experiences of working closely with speech and language therapist.

You’ll be self-sufficient and results focused with strong planning, execution and analytical skills. You’ll have an excellent eye for detail and understand how your decisions impact the wider business strategy.

You’ll also have great communication skills that enable you to develop positive stakeholder relationships with KOLs. Being proactive and challenging in order to arrive at a resolution is a must, as is having a real desire to get to the heart of issues that may arise, coupled with your ability to be flexible when prioritising work in an environment that will often be ambiguous and sometimes pressured.

You’ll also:

• Have knowledge in at least one of the platforms being managed e.g Enteral Nutrition and or Dysphagia

• Hold an undergraduate Nutrition and Dietetic degree (BSc) or postgraduate MSc.

• Open to learn more about regulatory. Knowledge in this area is not essential as training will be provided.
