Job Description

Working within the UK Sure Petcare (SPC) and HomeAgain team, the SPC Consumer Engagement Manager will perform a role that is both strategic and hands on, with responsibility for driving awareness, advocacy and sales of the SPC portfolio in the UK through co-ordinated sales and marketing activities across multiple channels. Working closely with the SPC National Sales Manager they will develop effective retail support plans and collaborate on global direct to consumer and Key Account strategies. They will also coordinate the UK launch of new products and selected animal health services. Reporting into the UK Digital Strategist, the role will work closely across global and biopharm marketing and commercial teams to build and implement co-ordinated marketing and PR plans, identifying and managing external agencies as required.

Role Responsibilities

  • Directly engage customers and develop and implement marketing content and campaigns for new products, trade activity and digital channels
  • Work with the HomeAgain Operational Lead to deliver UK identification sales targets and consumer database registrations
  • Build and manage an allocated budget
  • Developing and implementing outbound and inbound marketing activities by demonstrating expertise in various areas to support the global direct to consumer strategy
  • Plan and execute initiatives to reach target audience and build brand awareness through appropriate channels (SEM, social media, e-mail, influencers etc.)
  • Work closely with the National Sales Manager to create campaign and product support materials for key trade and retail customers
  • Manage UK Amazon Marketing Services (AMS) account in line with budget and product focuses
  • Administrate website CMS platforms by fixing bugs, uploading new content and making recommendations
  • Facilitate strategic partnerships by supporting existing charity partners, collaborating with other brands and identifying new opportunities
  • Appoint and manage external agencies as required, including digital, PR and design.
  • Collaborate with global teams to ensure brand alignment and tone of voice, effective communication, and co-ordinated marketing efforts
  • Plan, manage and deliver new product and service launches in the UK
  • Analyse and report marketing insights (campaign results, conversion rates, traffic etc.) to help shape future marketing strategies
  • Work closely with our biopharma marketing teams to develop and implement vet advocacy initiatives and identify synergistic opportunities.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience Required  

  • Experience of responsibility for delivering revenue targets
  • Proven experience as marketing specialist or similar role with a strong B2C focus
  • Thorough understanding of marketing strategies and market research methods
  • Comfortable in customer facing discussions
  • Demonstrable experience in marketing data analytics and tools
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite , SalesForce, Marketing Cloud, Web CMS, Google Ads and Analytics)
  • Well-organized and detail oriented
  • Exceptional communication and writing skills
  • Commercial awareness partnered with a creative mind
  • Experience of animal health desirable
  • Experience of matrix working desirable
  • BSc/BA in marketing, communications or equivalent
