Barber McLelland are working in partnership with a leading firm of Chartered Accounts and Business Advisors bases in South Yorkshire who are looking to appoint an experienced Tax professional for the position of Tax Manager within their dedicated OMB Team.
The firm have developed an excellent reputation across the region, supporting a varied portfolio of clients from entrepreneurial owner managed businesses through to large corporate entities, providing a full range of accounting, tax, audit and business advisory services.
Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the firm's Tax Partners, the role of Tax Manager will support the delivery of a variety of tax advisory projects whilst managing a tax compliance portfolio of OMB Clients.
In addition, the Tax Manager will regularly advise on the full spectrum of tax compliance and tax advice including the following:
Review tax compliance for OMB clients, including corporation tax and income tax returns, P11D's and ERS ReturnsMonitor tax deadlines for OMB clientsSupporting the OMB clients with ad-hoc tax queriesDeliver tax advisory projects for OMB clients, ranging from remuneration planning, share incentives and planning, property planning, reorganisations and transactional work (with support from senior tax colleagues)
The firm are also offering the opportunity to play an important part in the operation of the OMB team, along involvement in business development activities.
Skills and Qualities
The successful candidate is likely to be CTA/CIOT and/or ACA or ACCA qualified. Although, applications are welcomed from ATT qualified individuals with a minimum of 4 years tax experience.
The candidate must have reasonable experience dealing with tax compliance and some advisory aspects, and have a desire to take the lead on planning and compliance assignments.
Salary and Benefits
