The Space, Defence and Intelligence business unit in CGI is a true IT Systems Integrator. We work, build and operate bespoke, technically complex, mission-critical systems which help our clients keep us all safe and secure. We bring innovation to our clients using proven and emerging technologies, agile delivery processes and our deep expertise across the breadth of space, defence, intelligence, aerospace and maritime, all underpinned by our end-to-end cyber capability. We work collaboratively with global technology companies, cutting edge SMEs and academia to deliver the optimal solution for each client.

Due to the secure nature of the programme/role, you will need to hold the highest level of UK Security Clearance. You will work in an office location close to Gloucester.

Your future duties and responsibilities
This Software Engineer role will be responsible for the following activities:
- Providing technical assurance through the development of the solution.
- Leading and supporting technical engagement meetings, ensuring compliance with the requirement, promoting best practice, and conducting detailed reviews of the proposed design.
- Experience of working in the Defence environment is strongly preferred, ideally having also spent time in roles providing advice and support to client teams.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
The successful candidate for this Senior Software Engineer position will have attributes in the following:

- Have proven experience in the implementation complex delivery projects.
- Experience in at least one of the following coding languages; Java, Python, JavaScript
- Experience in cloud technology such as Azure, AWS
