Your Purpose

 

We’re now looking to recruit a number of Craft Technician Engineers to join our brilliant Tadcaster Team.

 

As a Craft Technician, you support the delivery of our production plan through ensuring manufacturing equipment is working efficiently and consistently. This often involves planned and unplanned repair work at pace through effective problem solving and teamwork. Project work may also see you do some deeper analysis into key parts of our processes to explore opportunities to optimize them further. 

 

Taking production from grains to beer is a technical process and you will play a key role in flagging and resolving problems that could adversely affect the quality of our products or our ways of working. Your role is likely to involve work that spans the full brewery and into the warehouse in such a way that no two days are likely to be the same.

 

It is an exciting time for the brewery with investment and new projects presenting evolving challenges and ample opportunities to experience new things while building your own internal network.

 

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Maintenance of all mechanical and electrical equipment and plant through planned and reactive maintenance, including the maintenance of hydraulic and pneumatic equipment across site and undertaking of PLC fault finding when required.  
  • Fault finding through the use of root cause analysis techniques and the subsequent effective repairs of all plant and equipment to ensure minimum downtime and improve reliability.
  • Installation and maintenance of new and existing plant, equipment, services incorporating water, steam and compressed air, lighting systems including the emergency lighting. the routine maintenance checks of the Boilers, Water Filters, Refrigeration Plant and Air Compressors. 
  • To ensure the department and working areas are maintained to a high level of cleanliness and tidiness. To ensure that all maintenance records are kept up to date for BRC and associated audits.
  • Undertake Risk Assessments when required, follow procedures for Working at Height, Confined Spaces and Hot Work Permit Rules.
  • Ensure best practice, including and not limited to HACCP, COSHH, BRC, FEMAS, Safety and the Molson Coors way and maintain personal legislative training compliance.
  • Maintain the required hygiene and safety standards for sites.

 

 

 

 

About You

  • Knowledge and experience of Permit to Work, LOTO and Risk Assessment systems.
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance and engineering techniques in process control, Packaging and Utilities.
  • Steam generation and distribution systems knowledge.
  • Machining and welding skills - Turning, Milling, TIG, MIG and or MMA.
  • Knowledge of complying with Food Hygiene Audits and a clean as you go approach to maintenance work.
  • Engineering experience within a FMCG manufacturing environment, preferably Brewing industry.
