What you'll do:
The Commercial Finance analyst is a key finance business partner for the EMEA Commercial team, specifically supporting the Resins and Cell Culture Medbusiness units. The individual will be responsible for developing the monthly forecasts and annual plans, as well as supporting the commercial team to execute and deliver these business objectives. To be successful in the role, the individual will need to collaborate with sales, operation and manufacturing teams as well as finance colleagues in FP&A, product finance and controllership.
- Prepare and lead regular commercial reviews with the commercial team to track financial & KPI performance and provide relevant insights to drive business strategy.
- Provide monthly estimates for orders, sales and sales margin, and clearly identify variances and risks & opportunities to forecasts.
- Prepare various recurring and ad hoc financial analytics relating to forecast accuracy, pricing, funnel management, win rate, top customer trend, design wins, etc.
- Partner with production planning team to understand upcoming production schedule and communicate supply risks or opportunities to sales forecast.
- Support annual planning cycle for sales and order, including variable compensation targets.
- Support timely and accurate month-end close processes, including post close financial reporting and variance analytics, and communicating business results.
- Identify and lead process improvement opportunities (trackers & templates, forecasting simplification, etc.).
Who you are:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related field with relevant experience.
- Strong communication (oral and written), presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects and meet deliverables.
- Proactive problem-solver and passionate about process improvement.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with stakeholders across multiple departments.
- Prior experience in commercial forecasting and partnership preferred.
