As a Senior Software Engineer (Automotive), you will play a crucial role in a dynamic, agile team, driving the direction and design of the company's systems. You will extend the functionality of commercially licensed solutions by designing APIs, controlling computation infrastructure and ensuring the solution backend exposes data required by the user interface built by the frontend engineers.

In your first few weeks in this Automotive Software Engineer role, you can expect to:

Specify, design and develop high-quality software 

Review designs and code done by colleagues and provide constructive feedback 

Collaborate closely with machine learning experts 

Help improve our software development tools and processes 

Deliver projects against challenging deadlines. 

To apply for this Software Engineer role, you will need a minimum of 3 years of software development experience in a commercial environment. You will also require the following:

A degree in Computer Science or equivalent 

Proficiency in automotive engineering, specifically in areas like simulation development, system design, and software applications for testing, validation, or calibration. 

You'll be rewarded with a salary of up to £80,000 and a generous benefits package, including a pension scheme, hybrid working, stock options scheme (where applicable), private medical insurance, salary sacrifice electric bike-to-work scheme, Cambridge Botanic Garden membership, social events, away days, game nights and sports groups.
