LAW Absolute is recruiting on behalf of a Higher Education provider, based in Hampshire. They are seeking a locum solicitor to join them for a minimum period of 12 months’ maternity cover.

You will handle a caseload of contentious matters ranging from broad commercial to property, contractual, debt recovery etc. it would be ideal if you have previous experience working in a Higher Education setting, but this is not essential.

To apply you will be:

  • A UK-qualified solicitor, admitted to the SRA for England and Wales – unfortunately the client is not able to accept applications from foreign-qualified lawyers for this role
  • Experienced in dealing with a broad range of contentious matters
  • Available to start on no more than a 4 week notice period
  • Able to attend the office in Hampshire on a hybrid basis of at least 1 day per week in the office

The salary band is negotiable for the right candidate, dependent on experience.
