NXTGEN seeks an ambitious Senior Accountant to join a leading Accountancy practice based in Norwich. Renowned for its outstanding reputation among clients and competitors, this firm has secured a significant market share in the region. As a Senior Accountant, you'll become part of a dynamic Accounts team, working across diverse sectors with opportunities to engage in complex tasks and projects. Taking charge of a portfolio of clients, you'll deliver top-notch general practice services, providing technical support for month-end submissions and assisting business owners with any account-related queries or issues.

In addition to your core responsibilities, as Senior Accountant you will also mentor junior staff to support their professional growth and studies. The firm is committed to fostering personal and career development, crafting individual development plans for each employee. Key responsibilities include:
  • Preparation of year-end statutory returns
  • Assisting the Corporate Tax team with SME client tax computations
  • Offering insights on monthly business performance to clients
  • Addressing business owners' tax inquiries
  • Mentoring and reviewing the work of trainees
    Ideally, candidates will possess a full accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) along with prior experience in an accountancy firm. However, those with relevant experience and a track record in general practice are also encouraged to apply. Knowledge of UK statutory and corporate tax legislation is essential.
