Freelance Synopsis Writer | ASAP start | 3 month contract + possible extensions | Remote (UK Based) | Italian and English language skills | Inside IR35 This is an exciting opportunity to join a huge name in technology and media, They are experiencing a period of growth and they are looking for an experienced synopsis writer to join their team on a contract basis. We are looking for a versatile, creative writer with a love for entertainment. This requires a copy writer who can tackle a high volume of writing assignments with enough creative energy to make each synopsis sing. The team writes copy in English and Italian, and this role will involve both English and Italian language skills (both written and spoken). What you’ll do: ? Write synopses about Italian (and sometimes non-Italian) movies and TV shows in English. A typical day might include writing a number of synopses a week — everything from popular action movies to low-budget indie films. ? Work closely with assignment writers and editors overseeing the workflow to ensure the copy meets the needs of the writing brief ? Embody editorial principles to create accurate, inclusive, and creative synopses that are nuanced enough to resonate with different audiences ? Check copy for style, readability, and adherence to editorial policies ? Rewrite text to improve clarity and readability Things you’ll need: Proficiency in both Italian and English language, written and spoken Experience writing about film and TV Professional copy writing experience Research skills to help you gather context about titles and quickly synthesize information from a variety of sources ?
