Job Purpose:

I am looking to employ a Personal Assistant to support me around gaining confidence in social settings, out in the community and developing more independence when out and about. This will include developing confidence with using the public transport with the aim that eventually I can use the bus independently. Becoming more confident with these aspects of life will help me to increase opportunities to meet new people and make friends.

My interests include gardening and I have own allotment so it would be a great bonus if you are also interested in growing plants. I enjoy going swimming and you will accompany me to the pool. We have several family pets, a dog and three cats and I adore them all. Ideally, you are a pet lover.

You will be required to help me with making GP and dental appointments as and when needed.

Another task is supporting me in becoming confident to make my meals independently. I am quite anxious around cooking because I can struggle with the concept of time.

Location: Grimston, PE32

Summary terms and conditions:

· The rate of pay for this position is £11.68 per hour.

· Hours and times of work: 8 hours per week, split over 2 days, flexible, days and times advised in advance.

· The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.

· This position requires the employee to complete the following free annual training: GDPR, Health and Safety and Food Hygiene.

Post is subject to the following:

· A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.

· Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer.

· Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 6 months.
