Freeway are looking for HGV C Class 2 drivers for full time roles with our client working on a 12 week tempt to perm basis with the agency before moving to a Full Time Employee.

The role

This is a fast paced role and you will need to be hands on. The role requires Drivers who are able to deliver store to home deliveries. Delivering goods ranging from DIY, building materials through to white goods, bathroom, kitchen goods. Goods deliveried will require tail lift unloading, pallet truck, sack cart and/or hand balling to ensure safe delivery to the customer. You will be working as part of a 2-person crew on all deliveries to esnure goods are delivered safely, in time and without damage to the customer. Full in depth training will be deliered to you from working starting and on an ongoing basis.

Shifts

Working any 5 of 7 day week operation (working part or at points both Sat & Sun - 3 weekends required to work out of every 4) on average).

0700/0800am- 1700pm

1100am - 2000pm

Role Responsibilities

  • Operate Class 2 10T vehicles and unload Class 2 Box Wagons within and around the region
  • Adhering to safety regulations and traffic laws, and ensuring the secure and efficient transport of materials
  • Conduct vehicle inspections, coordinate loading and unloading. Also maintain any necessary records, mileage, and fuel consumption.
  • High level of Health & Safety knowledge required
  • Excellent customer service
  • Clean & presentable

Candidate Requirements

A proactive approach to safety and security, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic airport environment.

A valid Class 2 driving license with a clean record and at least 2 years of experience in tipper operations. Candidates should be committed to ongoing training and professional development.
