Fortismere is a high-attaining, mixed foundation secondary school in the heart of Muswell Hill, North London with a strong tradition of excellence. The Co-headteachers are looking to appoint a knowledgeable, resourceful, proactive and flexible ICT Technician to support our busy school. You will have the opportunity to work with Windows, Macs and Chromebooks and their respective management platforms and tools. We have robust back-end network hardware and a hands-on approach to finding the right tech solutions for the school.
This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a growing ICT Department with ample opportunity for career development working closely with the Network Manager. The post is 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday and all year round. We are looking for someone with a demonstrable aptitude for technology, whether that be experience in a similar role or appropriate qualifications. The post also demands strong interpersonal skills and an ability to deal with staff and students across a range of technical levels.
The successful candidate will have:
● A good level of ICT competency, excellent communications skills and the ability to work flexibly
● Hold relevant qualifications or be willing to work to qualifications in Network Management, Web Design or any other aspect of ICT
● Have knowledge of processes and compliance relating to Network Management
● The ability to implement and maintain compliance records within an MIS system and other systems across the school
